Artist: Amy Lennard
Title: Amy Lennard EP
Genre: Pop-Folk-Country
Label: Independent

This is one tasty EP. Amy Lenard has a rich and affecting vocal style that wraps itself around each song, making you believe every word. The music is excellent as well. The guitar cries and wails away while she belts out a sweet refrain from the atmospheric “El Paso.” Some mighty fine slide guitar playing comes to the forefront on that track, it smolders with the heat of passion. The sexy swagger and Rolling Stones like guitar licks in “I’m Free” will make your blood boil. This is good stuff.
If this EP is a glimpse of Lennard’s capabilities, her future looks very bright. You need a great band to back powerful vocals, and that combination is surely in place on all five cuts of this introduction to a star on the rise. Let us hope someone in the music biz will recognize Lennard for her awesome potential. She is out of the starting blocks with a burst of speed, I hope that she gets a break along the way and stays in the running for the attention that is so justly deserved.
